PRE HOCKEY

Pre Hockey classes are populated with kids that have completed our Little Jaguars class. Our focus here is to continue to teach the basics (skating, stickhandling, shooting, passing and battling) while preparing the skaters for their next step which includes multiple days per week. The Pre Hockey program meets once a week for 5 weeks and on the last day of class your player will receive a certificate with a recommendation for future sessions from Coach Jerry.

*Free rental equipment can be provided

A $100 deposit will be required for all rental equipment. Your deposit will be refunded when the equipment is returned. Checks made payable to Jaguar Hockey Club only please. 

There are three levels of Pre Hockey and they are all on the ice at the same time, often in the same group. The 3 level distinctions are primarily used by the coaches to monitor the progress of the skaters.

Level 1: These are the skaters that have just been promoted to Pre Hockey and are still getting used to the advanced basics like stopping and backwards skating.

Level 2: Skaters that have shown proficiency with their stride, stopping and more advanced turns generally get this level distinction.

Level 3: skaters with a level 3 distinction are just about ready to move to our ADM or InHouse program and are getting polished up to make the move.

5 Skills is for those skaters that have completed Pre-Hockey 3, are age 8 and over but are not yet ready to advance to a travel team.  Skating fundamentals are reinforced, stick handling, passing and shooting and battling remain the focus. This class will prepare our older skaters for advancing to a travel team.

**Limited supplies of rental equipment will be available. A $100 deposit will be required for all rental equipment along with a $25 rental fee (Checks only please). The $100 deposit will be returned in full after your session is complete and the equipment is returned. The rental bags are geared towards smaller children, under age 8.
