JAGUAR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
JAGUAR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Since 2013, the Jimmy Porter Memorial Scholarship has served as a way for the Joliet Jaguars to honor the memory of Jimmy Porter, a 15-year-old Midget player who passed away in August 2012.
As our organization has grown, we have also lost other past members, family members, coaches, and individuals who were deeply involved with the Jaguars. In recognition of all those who have been part of our hockey family, the Joliet Jaguars have decided to rename the award to the Jaguar Memorial Scholarship.
In addition to the scholarship awards, the Jaguars Midget team will host a Memorial Game dedicated to those who have passed. During this special event, the Jaguar Memorial Scholarship winners will be announced and presented their certificates on the ice prior to puck drop.
The memorial game will also include raffle tables, a 50/50 drawing, vendor booths, T-shirts for sale, and other fundraising activities. All proceeds directly support future Jaguar Memorial Scholarship recipients.
